Lyric’s love for makeup started long before she was certified. Lyric is like your typical girl next door. She can work with what she has, and create a masterpiece with her fingers. She boasts in her saviour Jesus Christ, and admits that her inspirations, are from Him. “Whenever I’m presented with a task, I’m always nervous. Are they’re going to like what I’ve done? Are they going to wash it off? I’m nervous. So I always pray” -Lyric

Lyric was a very shy person when it came on to her craft. So she indulged herself in informal schooling, namely, YouTube. YouTube is a public video sharing site that teaches anything, from how to tie a bow tie, to carpentry. After watching a known Makeup Guru on YouTube, Misscheivous, Lyric decided to start her own makeup channel. That was over two years ago, and now, she has over 28,000 subscribers on YouTube (username: JamaicanMakeUpArtist) and over 19,000 likes on FaceBook (search: Jamaican MakeUp Artist). Both channels has followers around the world, namely, USA, London, Paris, and the Caribbean.

Her love for makeup is putting Jamaica on the map! Lyric thanks her Savior Jesus Christ, for unusual creativity, her Mother who always supported her, and her Husband, Germaine Henry, for his continued support, understanding, and advice.

I knew there was something more to you than just a talent.. You have Jesus on the inside!! Your creations are simply different and seem to just accentuate what each individual already has. I love the "no-make up" look for my every day wear but certainly would dare to wear one of the bolder ones for a special occasion! God bless you girl; you didn't bury your talent!!

After reading your profile and who and what you stand for, I was in Awe. It is such an encouragement to see a woman posses so many wonderful attributes. You are funny, confident, talented, gorgeous and best of all; a woman of God. I don't really wear make up (by that I mean I've done it a few times in my life but didn't like it) but I told myself this year, I turn 30 and I want to try something new. I've seen make up done wrong, felt that it was too expensive, it was too hard to learn to do and I didn't look right with it or liked the way it felt on my face. But, in seeing some of your youtube videos and picking up a couple tips, I became encouraged and now try to at least do a little eye make up for church on Sunday. Long story short, I am encouraged and excited to see where God takes you in all your endeavours. I believe in sowing into good ground and I wanted to sow into you and God's kingdom building (however He chooses to use you). I enlisted into three classes after receiving your email and look forward to trying something new and looking fabulous doing it. God bless sis and take care. Sherry

Lyric, i just want to say that you are a true blessing on Earth!! God has blessed you, and will continue to bless, guide, keep u, and open many doors for! I myself, is an upcoming make-up artist in which has been self taught! As i read your bio above, i had to blink twice because i felt as if i was kinda reading about myself lol. Misscheivous was the first person i discovered on Youtube also. As much as i want to show my God-given talent, i am a bit shy! I jus want to thank you for your many tips and words of encouragement xoxo

If you're looking for a class to get started with Ginger, I'd recommend Make-up 101. You can then add additional courses over time from there. Just as a note, we'll be taking the classes down soon. So if you're seriously interested let us know.
